Dr. Spang Ingenieurgesellschaft für Bauwesen, Geologie und Umwelttechnik mbH is a SME engineering office with branches in Witten (Northe Rhine-Westphalia), Freiberg (Saxony), Esslingen/Neckar (Baden-Württemberg), Nuremberg (Bavaria), Frankfurt a. M. (Hesse) and Naumburg (Saxony-Anhalt),
Hamburg,
Berlin and
Munich.
The business is managed by certified engineer Dipl.-Ing. Christian Spang, and the shares are owned entirely by the family. Dr. Spang GmbH currently holds a 50% stake in Dr. Salveter GmbH, Dresden, HRB 22472, and has a 100% stake in BuG Baugrunduntersuchung Naumburg UG (limited liability), Naumburg, HRB 9080, AG Stendal There are no other shareholdings or shared interests with construction companies, engineering office or suppliers. Dr. Spang GmbH is legally and financially independent. The company originated out of a change of company name from the office for construction in rock/construction geology established in 1980. The name was changed to its present form in 1999.
Our range of services is provided by circa 200 experienced construction engineers, geotechnics experts, engineering and hydrogeologists along with technical staff. We have a highly motivated team who employ scientifically-based methods using modern equipment.
Experts:
- The Bochum office of the mid-Ruhr district of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry has appointed one of our staff a sworn expert in foundation engineering and earthworks in road construction, another an expert in foundation engineering.
- Two other staff are publicly-appointed and sworn experts on stability issues in areas of near-surface mining in the North Rhine-Westphalia region for the Mining and Energy department of the Arnsberg District Authority.
- One of our office directors has been appointed a railway expert in geotechnics for the Federal Railway Authority.
- Our staff includes a state-registered expert for geotechnics / slopes and for earthworks and foundations licensed under DIN 1054 (building regulations law) by the Institut für Bautechnik in Berlin.
Our clients are public and private contractors. The main focus of our activities as consultants and experts is directed to the German speaking region. Furthermore we have extensive experience abroad, amongst others in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Chad, Egypt, Georgia, Greece, Hongkong, Hungary, Indonesia, Iraq, Israel, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Morocco, Mexico, Nepal, New Zealand Niger, Irak, Oman, Poland, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey and USA.
