  • Following the collapse of the municipal archive, an excavation pit is being dug at Waidmarkt in Cologne to retrieve the buried archives
  • The pit is protected on three sides by a bored pile wall, the fourth side is formed by the diaphragm wall of the passageway for changing platforms
  • At the transition from the bored pile wall to the diaphragm wall there is still an opening for system reasons that is sealed off by an ice guard
